Tivo Rojas-Cheatham, MPH brings over 20 years of experience working as a coach and trainer with county and state government, utilities, communities and regulatory agencies. Tivo’s work focuses on leadership, management, individual contribution and new levels of impact to generate personal, team and organizational success.
He has developed and executed training programs on embodied leadership, resiliency, emotional intelligence, engaging stakeholders, developing stronger teams, effective coordination of action, personal excellence, facilitation as well as outreach and education methods. His focus is on leveraging the strengths of individuals and teams by looking at what’s already working well. Tivo’s coaching and training is informed by several bodies of work including somatic coaching, embodied leadership, neuroscience, generative somatics, community health education, NLP, facilitation and group process.
Tivo has worked with California Department of Public Health, PG&E, the Regional Water Quality Control Board and the East Bay Meditation Center. He has also provided leadership trainings in several communities in the Bay Area and Central Valley.
Tivo has a BA in Philosophy and an MPH in Community Health Education from U.C. Berkeley. He has somatic coach training with Wendy Palmer, Founder of Leadership Embodiment and Richard Strozzi of the Strozzi Institute. He has also completed a year-long Somatics and Trauma practitioner course with Generative Somatics. In addition, he has studied NLP, Soma-Semantic modelling and the neuro-somatics of performance. He is dedicated to continual study and application of neuroscience and embodied learning to bring the most powerful version of leadership possible to others.
